    ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT Pasta Dinner on Friday, September 12, 2014 at The Volunteer Fire Department Bingo Hall, 114 Washington Street, Ingleside. Dinner will be served from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Adults $8.00, Seniors and kids 10 and under $5.00. Tickets are available at the Village Hall for the dinner, or at the door. Raffles, fantastic food and a great cause to support! Please call the Parks and Recreation Department with any questions at 847-587-3944.

  3. Mayor's Challenge 5K Run & Walk

    September 13, 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Millennium Park

    Please join us for the Village of Fox Lake Mayor’s Challenge 5K Run/Walk on September 13, 2014. Race Entry fee $25.00. Student entry fee is $15.00 (14 and younger). The first 250 registrants are guaranteed a free t-shirt! All proceeds will benefit the Chicago land Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (Certification code IL-12100-JW). Participants who raise $200.00 in pledges for the Susan G. Komen Foundation will receive a FREE Hoodie Sweatshirt! Please see the registration form for more information.   4. Fall / Winter Dance Session Begins

    September 15, All Day

    The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Fall/Winter Dance Session beginning the week of September 15th. The session runs for 13 weeks and will have a recital on Saturday, December 14th at Stanton Middle School. Sessions offered are Ballet 1, Ballet/Tap 1, 2 & 3, Hip Hop 1, 2, & 3, and Lyrical Dance 1 & 2 and ***NEW THIS SESSION we are happy to announce CREATIVE MOVEMENT for persons ages 8-18 with special needs! Sessions are $95.00 each and include the costume and tight fees. Our theme this session is “Dancing Through the Decades!” There will not be any dance sessions held on Veteran’s Day or on Thanksgiving Day. There is a 5 person minimum enrollment per class or the session may be cancelled. Please contact the Parks Department with any questions at 847-587-3944.

  5. Life Line Screening

    September 15, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

    The Parks and Recreation Department is again partnering with Life Line Screening in our effort to save lives on Monday, September 15, 2014 at The Lakefront Park Building.   6. Fall Sports Program Begins

    September 16, All Day

    Registration for the 2014 Fall Sports Program has begun! This season we are offering Soccer, T-ball, Cheerleading, Flag Football, Iceless Hockey, and NERF Combat. Sessions run for 5 weeks beginning the week of September 15th. The fee is $50.00 per session. Pre-registration is required by September 12th. There is a 6 child minimum per session or sessions will be cancelled. . All participants will receive a t-shirt and a participation award.   8. The Official Safe Sitter Babysitting Course

    September 27, 9:30 AM - 4:15 PM @ Lakefront Park Building

    The Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer THE OFFICIAL SAFE SITTER BABYSITTING COURSE. Safe Sitter is a well-rounded youth development program with a medical basis, teaching young teen babysitters everything they need to know to keep themselves and the children in their care safe. The session will be held on September 27, 2014 at the Lakefront Park Building (71 Nippersink Blvd.) Class is held from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Check in begins at 9:15a.m. and there will be a graduation ceremony at 4:15 p.m. The Fee for the session is $45.00 and includes THE OFFICIAL SAFE SITTER BABYSITTER’S HANDBOOK with a completion card. You must be age 11 or older at the time of class to register. There is a class minimum of 8 participants or class may be canceled. We will break for lunch at noon, so please bring a sack lunch. There is a pop machine at this location. No names or information will be given to perspective employers regarding graduates of the Babysitting Course.Ple
