Garage
Sales
- Any
person who conducts a garage sale must first
obtain a permit from the Village.
No more than two (2) garage sales
shall be conducted on the same premises by
the same household within any 12 month
period, nor more than one sale within any
seven (7) day period.
No person shall conduct any garage
sale on premises not owned or leased by said
person.
No
garage sale may be conducted over a period of
more than three (3) consecutive days.
Sales shall not begin before
9:00 A.M.
or continue later than sunset.
Metra Commuter Parking Passes
Passes for Metra commuter parking are available at the Village Hall. The one-month pass is
$22.50 per month, while the three-month pass is
$67.50.

request, the request form will be mailed
to you with a return envelope)
Upon receipt of
the payment, we will send you the pink
window display copy to be place in you
vehicle. We urge commuters to begin this process the third week of each month to allow for mail time.
Pets in the Village of Fox Lake
Dogs need to have a Village tag, which can be purchased at the Village Hall for $5.00 per tag. There is a limit of two dogs per household. To purchase a tag,
a copy of the rabies certification
must be submitted with your dog
license application.
All pets need to be contained and supervised by the owner. Do not let your dog, cat or other pets run outside of the yard. If you take your pet outside, the animal should be leashed at all times.
The Village of Fox Lake has established a Senior
Shuttle Van Program to allow for safe, reliable transportation
Free of Charge to seniors 65 and older. The Shuttle Bus
service will pick up and drop off seniors at various locations
throughout Fox Lake.

Vehicle stickers may be purchased
with a completed application at the Village Hall or by
mail. Payment can be made by Cash,
Check, MasterCard or Visa.
Annual stickers go on sale May 1, and may be purchased through June 30 before the fee doubles.
Applications are mailed with the water / sewer / refuse bills through mid April, and are available at the Village Hall
after that date.
The fees are listed below for stickers purchased by June 30. If your sticker is lost or secured on a sold vehicle, your yellow copy of purchase allows you to have the sticker replaced for $1.00.

You can register to vote at the Village Hall
or the Grant Township Hall during normal business hours.

Water / Sewer / Refuse Billing
Accounts are billed every two months, depending on your account number and the months of consumption. In January, the cycle begins by billing usage for November and December for account numbers beginning with 3, 4 and 6. In February, the next cycle bills usage for December and January for account numbers beginning with 1, 2 and 5. This frequency is followed for these account groups for the remainder of the year.
Water meters are read beginning on the second and the 16th of each month. Bills are issued after the Public Works field staff has collected meter reading information. This reading process takes an average of four days. Those account numbers beginning with 1, 3, 5 and 6 are billed from readings that are performed during the first week of the cycle month, and account numbers beginning with 2 and 4 are billed from readings that take place the third week of the cycle month. The due date of the bill is 30 days from the billing date. This will vary depending on the completion of the meter readings.
