- Summer Art Installation
The Village has been working to expand Fox Lake’s creative economy through the implementation of art projects linking the community, local artists, nonprofits, and local government resources to establish a bustling artists’ community. Together, artists, cultural nonprofits, and creative businesses produce and distribute cultural goods and services that generate jobs, revenue, and quality of life…” In partnership with residents, local businesses, artists, and organizations, the Village of Fox Lake continues to work towards enhancing our community through the arts.
On an annual basis, the Village creates a Summer Art Installation - "It's an Art Thing" where local artists create art pieces based on a theme. The art pieces are placed throughout downtown Fox Lake and, when sold, the proceeds are shared between the artist, and two local nonprofit organizations.
