Due to COVID-19 Village of Fox Lake Municipal Offices remain closed. Therefore, April 6, 2021 Consolidated Local Election Information has been made available on the Village's website below. Please note this information is provided as a public service. The Village of Fox Lake and its Clerk/Deputy Clerks make no representations regarding the accuracy or validity of these forms or this information. Please be sure to consult with an attorney before using or taking action on these forms. Anyone who uses these forms does so at his/her own risk.

New Political Party Filing Information 

The Village of Fox Lake Municipal Office located at 66 Thillen Drive will be open for filing dates beginning December 14, 2020 through December 21, 2020 from 8:00 to 5:00 p.m. as well as on December 30, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. for the simultaneous filer lottery if required.

Petition Packet Filing Information

Entrance for Petition Packet drop-off will be at the set of double doors located to the right, of the main Village Hall entrance. Please follow the sidewalk and signage posted. Please note the doors at the main entrance and doors located at the east side of the building will remain closed and not used for Petition Packet drop off.

On the first day to file, December 14, 2020, Village Hall office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the sole purpose of accepting petitions.  Those arriving by 8 a.m., will be provided with a “simultaneous filer” receipt, and will be placed into the lottery to determine ballot placement.

December 15 – 18, 2020 Village Hall office doors will remain closed, but staff is onsite to assist with filing of petition packets. Please call the Village Hall at (847) 587-2151 when arriving and someone will meet you at the Village Board entrance for Petition Packet drop off.

The Village Hall office will be open for the sole purpose of accepting petitions from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the last day to file, December 21, 2020.  Any petitions filed during the last hour, between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. will be considered a simultaneous file, and placed in a lottery to determine ballot placement.

No petitions will be accepted after 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020.

To file an objection petition, someone will be available to assist you at the Village Hall office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 22 – 23, 2020 and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 28 – 30, 2020. Please call the Village Hall at (847) 587-2151 when you arrive and someone will assist you. Please note the Village Hall offices are closed on December 24 – 25, 2020 for the Holidays.

The last day to file an objection petition is Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
