Summer Event Cancellation Notice

Due to COVID-19, the Village of Fox Lake has made the decision to cancel multiple special events and community programs for the safety of our residents, guests, volunteers, staff, and community partners.

Summer Event Cancellations include:

  • Celebrate Fox Lake Parade and Fireworks (June 27)
  • Fox Lake Bloody Mary Fest (July 12)
  • Summer Art Series: Friday Night Concerts (June 5, 12, 19, 26 / July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 / August 7, 14, 21, 28 / September 4, 11, 25)
  • Fathers’ Day Fishing Frenzy (June 20)

Additional Community Programs that will be canceled include:

  • Get Your Play On (June 11, July 9)
  • Fishy Fridays (June 12, June 26, July 10, July 24)
  • GO Fox Lake Walks (June 13, July 11)

Additionally, due to Phase 3 regulations for fitness centers and gatherings of 10 or more prohibited the Lakefront Park Building and all fitness classes are cancelled until further notice.

At this time, the Village is looking at potentially rescheduling the Celebrate Fox Lake Fireworks to a later date should State of Illinois phasing allow larger events.

The Fox Lake Farmers Market has been considered an essential service and is opening June 2, 2020 and will be every Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. through the end of September. While the structure of the market has been adjusted due to COVID-19 – you can still visit some of your favorite vendors. Beginning June 1, 2020 the Village of Fox Lake Parks and Recreation Department will offer virtual programming for the community weekly. The programming can be found on the Village of Fox Lake Parks and Recreation Facebook Page. Virtual Programs include Senior Coffee Talks, Craft of the Week, Trivia Tuesdays, Wednesday Workouts, Theme Day Thursdays, Physical Fridays and a Senior Lunch Social Hour.
