Trick-or-Treating 2020

Trick or Treat Update

The Village of Fox Lake encourages residents to safely celebrate Halloween this year. Trick-Or-Treating in Fox Lake, IL will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Please note - the Illinois Department of Public Health has stated the safest approach for Halloween this year is to plan special events at home over traditional trick-or-treating.

Safety is top priority for the Village of Fox Lake. Should you decide to trick-or-treat, we are advising residents to follow guidance provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health

Trick or Treating IDPH Guidelines

In order to help designate which homes are participating in trick-or- treating, the Village has designed signage that can be displayed outside of homes.

  • A posted green sign in addition to an outside light left on will let trick-or-treaters know that they are welcome.
  • A posted red sign in addition to no outside lights on will let trick-or-treaters know that they are not welcome.

The door signs can be downloaded and printed using the link below:

Printed copies can be found outside the front door of Lakefront Park Building (71 Nippersink Blvd.), outside the front door of Village Hall (66 Thillen Dr.), and in the lobby area of the Fox Lake Police Department (301 S. Route 59).
