Village Board of Trustees

The Village Board of Fox Lake is composed of the Mayor, Village Clerk, and six elected Trustees. Together, they serve as the legislative and policy-making body of the Village government, dedicated to maintaining Fox Lake as a vibrant, safe, and welcoming community.

Meetings

Village Board meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Village Hall (66 Thillen Drive). Agendas are posted in advance, and minutes are published following approval. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings to stay informed and engaged.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Village Board:

  • Establishes policies and ordinances for the Village
  • Approves the annual budget and capital improvement plans
  • Oversees strategic planning and community development
  • Works closely with the Village Administrator to ensure effective governance
  • Represents the interests of Fox Lake residents in all municipal matters 

The Board also collaborates with local organizations, developers, and regional partners to promote economic growth, infrastructure improvements, and community events.
