The FoxComm 9-1-1 center at the Fox Lake Public Safety Building was established March 1, 2005. When designing the new center the idea was to make the center capable of expansion for future clients and technology, reducing the cost of communications.
FoxComm operates with:
Computer-aided emergency medical services
Digital voice records
Enhanced 9-1-1 system
Microprocessor-based touch-screen control consoles
FoxComm is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with dedicated staff who provide emergency call handling; police, fire and medical dispatch; alarm response and emergency incident management support.
